we're gonna track 'em down

well we made it back from Disneyland. And Adam has since already packed another round trip on SW. He's back tonight, everyone's asleep, jane just stirred.....Jane,Ella and me were at Nana's house tonight with Tim, Jenny, Tom, Heather, Sarah and Sue and Mom/Nana. We also spent the day a gymnastics, playing with Anneke here, making/eating cookie dough (that's the goal, cooking it, doesn't always happen). And meals, cleaning, baths, nail cutting (a mommy/toddler olympic event) and counting slings to get ready for an inventory sale.

hmmmm, other interesting things...well we were planning to go to Yosemite May 8-12 but Adam will be in Houston that week for an important training class. So we are going to take a little family trip next week instead. We're pretty excited and have worked out a nifty road trip compromise: we're flying up to Oakland next Wed, and then driving back down the coast to SD taking our time staying along the way in SF, Santa Cruz, Monterey, Santa Barbara....??? who knows we really don't have anything planned except we are going to track Granddad and Father Mike down! and have fun being on the road which we actually do pretty well with the girls. The only hard part will be the new hotel rooms each night.

The biking duo is expected to get in SF about the same time so we should be able to "catch" them as Ella puts it. She has already exclaimed to me: "I'm gonna bring my bike and find Granddad and ride right next to him!" So Dad, consider yourself forwarned.

Oh, the other nifty thing about this trip? We're driving our very own comfy van back to SD. How so you ask when flying up? Well our frequent traveler, Adam, has to be in SF,(or Phoenix, or Seattle) on Monday so he is driving the van up early Monday morning and then commuting to work (he doesn't know if that's in SF, Seattle or Phoenix yet) Regardless he's planning to fly home Tuesday night and then we will all leave Wed morning via plane to Oakland where our van will be waiting, packed already for us. Aren't we tricky? Hey, it was Adam's idea. :)Yes our plans and schedules are always this nuts.

little and big lubsens on Tom Sawyer island at Disneyland last Tues. An employee was bored and asked if we wanted our picture taken. I thought that was nice.

Kate and the girls are nice enought to put up with my crazy schedule. Why accept the day to day drag of going to the same office when you can have the fun of HP where you never know where or when you will be next.

We are looking forward to catching grandad and ella has been talking about it non-stop, unless that is you ask her to get on the phone to talk to granddad! When we get the phone near her ear she cringes up like the phone will bit her. Dave we know they miss you but some times they won't fess up in person.

That was anonymous Adam leaving a comment.
Might I add anyone can leave a comment, and I encourage you so when the girls are older they can witness who cared to know what was going on in their lives. You don't have to sign up with blogger to leave a comment. Just use the anonymous comment feature like Adam did but sign your name at the end of your comment like you would in an email :) Of course you can create an account name to use ....hope to hear from more of you reading this blog soon. Thanks! - Kate

Well goodness, why didn't you say so? Since I love Ella and Jane the most, I will surely start leaving lots of comments. I can relate to that bored employee at Disneyland, I would have loved to take people's pictures when I was always standing around for my job at Sea World. But I don't think I would've taken such a good picture! You guys look great! And that is such a good idea to track down Dad, although chances are you won't recognize him. I would imagine that at this point he looks a lot like Forrest Gump did with the long beard, tattered clothes and sun-weathered skin after he had been running across the country all that time. Ha ha, I'm hilarious. Seriously though, keep up the good work on the blog. I love all the descriptions of what the girls are up to and the pictures equally. Love you all, Molly
